REAL-LIFE RAILWAYS

To wide a subject to cover in these pages but these pages will attempt to highlight a selection of working and preserved (or heritage) railways from around the world which to provide inspiration for your own railway empire. We will tend to  focus on Narrow Gauge lines as these seem to be the most popular theme. For ease of reference the topic has been broken down into 4 main sections as follows:

UK NARROW GAUGE

Corris and Tallyln Railway 2'3" (686mm)
Ffestiniog Railway
Rheidol Rail
Highland Railway 1'11.5! (597mm)

UK MAINLINE

USA NARROW GAUGE (Now available)

There are literally hundreds of preserved narrow gauge railroad  lines (usually referred to as Heritage Railroads) to be found in the USA from Alabama and Alaska to West Virginia & Wisconsin. There is a useful list on Wikipedia. These are my own favourites:

CONTINENTAL EUROPE NARROW GAUGE

REST OF THE WORLD (NARROW & STANDARD GAUGE)
